Waterford United Sign Chris Deans
January 19th, 2006
Waterford United manager Mike Kerley has added a new defender to the Blues squad with the signing of 21 year old Chris Deans. Deans, who spent last season at Dundalk, has been capped 17 times at underage level for Ireland and captained the Irish Under 19 side on two occasions. He has spent a number of years across the water with Coventry City and at Derby County. He had returned home in 2004 joining Dublin City.”Despite his relatively young age, Chris has loads of experience,” said Mike Kerley. “I am happy that he has decided to come to Waterford. He is a versatile defender who is comfortable anywhere across the back and I have no doubt he will be an excellent addition to the squad.”
