Waterford United will be aiming to get their first win of the season when they travel to Dalymount park to face a Bohemians side that has struggled to pick up any points this season.Manager Mike Kerley is looking for an improved performance following the disappointing showing against UCD last week when they lost by one goal to nil.”We know what we have to do and it is vital that we get something from this game. e have to plan without Chris (Deans) but I have other options in that area and John Hayes returns after suspension so that is one positive.”The Blues boss has everybody fit again after a bout of illness impacted on his team last week so he is only wothout Chris Deans who is suspended. For Bohs boss Gareth Farrelly the pressure is already on thoughthe season is in its infancy and depsite a good performance in Cork the Gypsies came away emptyhanded.Last Season 30th Sep 05 Waterford Utd v Bohemians 2-01st Jul 05 Bohemians v Waterford Utd 2-18th Apr 05 Waterford Utd v Bohemians 2-0BettingBohemians 4/5Waterford: 11/4Draw: 9/4

Blues V UCD Reaction

March 25th, 2006
This was a diffficult game for us, we just didn’t start right and we didn’t create enough chances to win the game. That’s something I need to take back into training so we can work on it. I felt we needed to change things around when we went one down – I thought they were on top in the middle, we weren’t getting forward enough to create chances.

I was very pleased with the way the boys responded to the challenge posed by Bray. They were always going to be a tough opposition and they proved that on the night. It was great to finally get a run out at the RSC and though the conditions were very difficult, I think the lads gave a great display. What can I say about the penalty – I thought it was a very harsh decision but you can’t do anything about things like that. That’s football and the referee had no option but to send John off as the rule is clear in that regard. However, we fought back well and thoroughly deserved the draw. I think Daryl took his goal very well. He threatened the same against St Pat’s but this time it worked and in fairness to Daryl, he is capable of dong that on a regular basis. We are home again next week and I hope the weather is better so the crowd will be even bigger. Thanks to everyone for coming out to support us – it was much appreciated.
