Waterford V Derry

What can I say – we worked very hard throughout the game and I thought we were finally getting a break when Kenny scored a great goal to put us in front. It was the ideal time to score and we went in at half time very pleased with our performance. The second half seemed to be going fine until those killer blows. In fairness there was little Shane could do about the first goal. It was one of those perfect strikes. Nine times out of ten the ball would have flown high over the bar. I thought we could have done more to block the cross for the second goal but again it was well taken.I think we are not that far away and we need a little bit of luck to go our way. Everyone worked really hard throughout the game and that commitment will pay dividends real soon.
