The Management Committee of Waterford United has accepted the resignation of its manager Mike Kerley. Assistant Manager Trevor Lovell will also be leaving his position with immediate effect.

Waterford United have signed Cobh Ramblers utility player Robert Brosnan on loan until the end of the season. Brosnan, who joined Cobh in 2003, comes straight into the squad for this evening’s vital eircom league game against Longford Town at Flancare Park.
Waterford United are back on the road as they visit Flancare Park to take on a Longford Town side that were bouyed by a 2 nil win over St Pat’s in midweek.
The above match, originally scheduled for Friday 28th July, will now take place on Sunday 30th July at the Brandywell Stadium with a kick-off time of 7.00pm. This change is due to Derry City’s European match against Gothenburg on Thursday July 27.

Waterford United head to Dublin this evening to face Shelbourne in their re-arranged eircom league clash at Tolka Park with the Blues still smarting from that last minute defeat at the hands of Sligo Rovers.
