Dundalk confirmed as Play-off opponents

Waterford United will face Dundalk in the eircom league play-offs following the completion of the first division series at Finn Park where Dundalk overcame a strong challenge from Finn Harps to win one nil.The match, which was postponed from Saturday due to a waterlogged pitch, was eventually played on Sunday afternoon and this now means that the first leg at Oriel Park will take place on Wednesday evening(November 22) at 7.45pm rather than Tuesday.The return leg wil take place at the RSC on Saturday evening November 25th.
Play-off Date to change if Dundalk qualify

Saturday’s Eircom League First Division game between Finn Harps and Dundalk, which was scheduled for Finn Park, Ballybofey, has been postponed. The pitch was inspected Saturday morning and declared unplayable due to a waterlogged pitch. The match has been refixed for Sunday afternoon at 3pm in Finn Park. If Dundalk qualify for next week’s play-off, the first leg tie against Waterford United, which was originally scheduled for Tuesday night in Oriel Park, will be switched to Wednesday night.
