This is a notice for all Waterford United fans regarding tickets for the FAI Ford Senior Cup quarter final against Cork City.Season Ticket Holders may purchase tickets for the game at John Ryan’s shop in Patrick Street. Capacity Restrictions at RSC

Following discussions and meetings with relevant Health & Safety Officials, Waterford City Council and the FAI, Waterford United’s capacity at the RSC has been limited to 1240 for the duration of the building works at the RSC.Waterford United regrets that this limited capacity will mean severe restrictions for its fans but given the major nature of the works underway at the RSC, the club must operate in accordance with the Health & Safety legislation and in the best interests of all of its officials, players and supporters.Tickets for the FAI Ford Senior Cup Quarter Final on Saturday September 23rd will only be available for fans at the RSC during the eircom league of Ireland Premier Division game against Bohemians on Friday evening next.A limited number of tickets will be allocated to Cork City FC and with an anticipated sell out, supporters are urged to purchase tickets in advance as there is no guarantee that tickets will be available on the night of the game.
Waterford United’s eircom League of Ireland Premier Division game away to Longford Town which was due to have taken place at Flancare Park on Saturday October 13 will now take place on Friday October 12th at the same venue. The kick off shall be 8.00pm.The change is due to the Republic of Ireland’s Euro 2008 qualifier against Germany which is scheduled for Saturday October 13th.

Waterford United’s home match in the FAI Ford Cup quarter final against Cork City will be shown live on TG4.The mouth watering clash has been confirmed by the station as its televised game of the four quarterfinals due to be decided on the weekend of September 23.The game will take place on Saturday evening September 22 with a 7.45pm kick off.Season Ticket holders are reminded that season tickets are not valid for the FAI Cup.However, all season ticket holders may purchase tickets in advance of the general sale by producing their season ticket at John Ryan’s shop in Patrick Street.Tickets for the public sale will be available from Friday night next September 7 at the RSC during the eircom league game with Bray Wanderers.As capacity is severely limited at the RSC due to the construction works, supporters are urged to purchase tickets in advance of the cup game.
Waterford’s County Mayor Cllr Billy Kyne will enjoy a 3 day trip to Slovakia after his name came out of hat in the Waterford United Euro 2008 draw held on Saturday evening.The Mayor will watch Ireland’s crucial game with Slovakia in Bratislava.The other prize winner in the draw was former Blues keeper Tommy Taylor. However, in a fine gesture, Tommy has donated his prize of a trip for two the Czech Republic for the second game of the week in Prague, back to the club.A further competition will take place later this week with a limited “Fifty Fifty” draw with just fifty tickets being sold for �50 each.Tickets are available from any committee member.
