As good a display as the Blues produced all season was too much for the visitors to handle with the home side dominating the game from start to finish, and capping it off with a David Grincell wonder strike to open his league account.

The Blues are unbeaten in six now in the league, though they have have drawn their last three matches. Both Shelbourne and Dundalk have also slipped up over the last few games though, keeping United very much in contention, but also allowing Sporting Fingal to close to within a point in fourth place.
[b]Wexford Youths 1 – 1 Waterford United[/b]Waterford United had to be content with a point after a highly entertaining match at the Wexford Sports Complex tonight. On an absolutely perfect playing surface the game had a bit of everything, with some superb passages of play from both sides, two fine goals, another disallowed, a couple or three real penalty shouts and a sending off.
The Management Committee, Manager and players of WUFC have designed and agreed upon a financial plan which should help secure the immediate future of the club and manage to keep the bulk of the current playing squad intact.
