Tonight’s U20 league game against Wexford Youths scheduled for 7:30pm at Ferrycarrig park has been called off after a pitch inspection due to a waterlogged surface.No date for the re-fixed match has been decided as yet, details will appear here as soon as they are decided.

[b]Sporting Fingal 1 – 3 Waterford United[/b]A combination of wasteful finishing, calamitous defending, and a missed penalty, cost Waterford United another opportunity to move to the top of the table, and to take advantage of a Dundalk slip-up. In torrential rain in Santry, the Blues missed a sucession of chances, while their hosts were converting theirs, and the better side for most of the night somehow ended up at the wrong end of a 3-1 scoreline.

[b]Cork City U-20 1 – 1 Waterford United U-20[/b] Following victories over Cobh Ramblers and FC Carlow, the young Blues travelled to Bishopstown to play Cork City, and a 1-1 draw there has put them in a share of the top of the league with the Leesiders.

U20s see off Carlow, ready for Cork challenge

[b]Waterford United 2 – 1 FC Carlow[/b]Waterford United’s U-20s were too strong for FC Carlow last Wednesday night in what was the Leinster club’s first ever league match. The young Blues ran out 2-1 winners in the end, courtesy of two headed goals from the in-form Willie John Kiely, in a very entertaining and action-packed match, with both teams playing at a high tempo.Their next match takes place this Sunday when they take on Cork City at Bishopstown, with a 2.00pm kick-off.
No winner of lotto jackpot

There was no jackpot winner in tonight’s club lotto draw. Proceedings were delayed for 24 hours due to difficulties with the return of a large number of tickets, but all were included in the draw.
The top prize now rises to €2,900 for the next draw, which will take place on Wednesday, February 18th as planned.
Blues face Athlone in must-win encounter
