Blues face Shels in biggest match of season

Waterford United face into their biggest game of the season knowing that victory over Shelbourne at the RSC this Friday (KO 7:45pm) will bring the championship race right down to the wire.

[b]Kildare County 1 – 2 Waterford United[/b]Waterford United recorded their fourth victory of the season against Kildare County at Station Road tonight, keeping alive their faint hopes of promotion. With Dundalk’s defeat at the hands of Limerick last night, and Shelbourne visiting the RSC next Friday, it was imperative that the Blues make their rivals sweat a little, and that they did with a victory that was, on balance, a deserved one.
