Waterford United is delighted to announce that the club has been awarded a Premier Division club licence by the FAI which enables it to compete in this season’s eircom league.The Club was informed of the decision of the First Instance Committee last night.”This was a tough year for the club,” explained UEFA Club License Officer Chris Everett. “The club license process is an arduous one with a huge amount of documentation required and the queries really related to confirmation of insurance documentation and qualifications for some of the club officials. This is great news for the club and a tribute to all the people who worked on the application this year.”
