Blues One Step From Final

Waterford United will be looking for their second Lucozade Sport Munster Senior Cup final appearance in three years when they head to Dr. Pat O Callaghan Park in Clonmel on Wednesday for the semi final of this year’s cup.
The Blues are riding high on a wave of confidence following their recent run of league results that has delivered 12 points from 12 as well as 12 goals!
Waterford’s demolition of Monaghan United last week was particularly satisfying for Graham Cummins, the gamekeeper turned poacher who has charged to the top of the First Division goalscoring charts with 6 goals in 2 games.
He may get a rest on Wednesday which could pave the way for a David Grincell start while manager Stephen Henderson is also expected to give runs to Declan Woodgate and Paul Carey.
The Blues’ boss has one suspension issue with Kieran Fitzgerald ruled out following his dismissal in the quarter final victory over Passage AFC.
The game will be decided on the night with extra time and penalties required if necessary to determine who will meet Rockmount in this year’s final.
