Some more positive news comes with the announcement that the Paddy Winters selection committee are tonight delighted to award the Paddy Winters Memorial Waterford United Clubman of the Year for 2009 to Chris Smyth.

Chris, pictured here at the 3 Ireland launch with Sam White of WUFC and Robert Finnegan of 3 Ireland, has done absolutely sterling work all season in the Blues cause, combining tireless efforts in fundraising, sponsorship and organisation with his daily work with Perennial Freight.

Congratulations Chris, all at the club are delighted with the news, the award is richly deserved!
