Blues Announce New Goalkeeping Academy
Waterford United have announced details of their new Goalkeeping Academy which is due to commence on Wednesday, April 27th.
The Academy is open to all comers, both male and female, from 12 years old up to seniors. Budding goalkeepers from schools, Junior and ladies league clubs are all welcome to attend, or indeed anyone interested in getting the best goalkeeping coaching available. The sessions cost just €10 each night, and will run for around 90 minutes, starting at 18.30.
Run by Blues goalkeeping coach Billy Hearne, the Academy will take place on the back pitches at the RSC every Wednesday night for a ten week period. Billy is a vastly experienced coach, who currently holds the UEFA B badges, both goalkeeping and outfield, and has coached and travelled abroad many times with various FAI Underage International squads. He will be ably assisted each session by United’s senior netminders Kevin Burns and Josh Byrne.
