A series of fabulous football occasions have been lined up in a new fundraiser for the benefit of Waterford United this June.

The EURO 2012 Stadium Experience is a joint venture between WLR FM and The Forum, Waterford, and it coincides with each of Ireland’s three group games at the Championships in Poland and the Ukraine next month.

On each of the three evenings – Sunday June 10th, Thurs 14th and Monday 18th, when Ireland play Croatia, Spain and Italy – the Forum will be transformed, bringing the spirit and atmosphere of Poland to Waterford, and putting Deise ‘Boys in Green’ fans right into the heart of the action with a giant screen and stadium sound system, a full bar service and Polish beer girls.

The price of entry also includes a free pre-match pint, and post-match hot food, and there will be competitions, spot-prizes and giveaways. Doors open at 6.00pm each night, with the evening kicking off at 6.30, as both before AND after each game there will be live music with The Waxies, and then a DJ ’til late.

Tickets cost just €10 per night, or all three games for €20, and they will are on sale now from www.forumwaterford.com, 051-871111, and in person at Next Door (Forum Waterford) with no booking fees or service charges.

Blues fans can, of course, also support club and country yet further by each night sporting the very fetching new green away shirt, available now from John Ryan’s shop on Patrick Street in the city, and sure to elicit admiring – if not slightly envious – comments from all and sundry!
