Waterford United’s Management Committee met last evening (Monday) to consider the applications that were received for the vacant manager’s position.In all, there were 16 applications and the committee were impressed by the quality of the candidates who have applied, with applications coming from the UK, Canada, California as well as Ireland. Having considered all of the applications, the committee has drawn up a short list with a view to determining more information and will be contacing these applicants over the next week to talk to them further.In the meantime, Under 21 Manager Derek Browne will continue to work with the players in preparation for Saturday’s eircom league encounter with Cork City.
