Waterford United’s FAI Ford Cup 2nd round tie against Everton AFC is set for a 3.00pm kick-off this Sunday (May 27th) at Everton Park just outside Cork City.

The Blues play the Munster Senior League outfit at their home ground, having previously met at Turner’s Cross when United triumphed by a Vinny Sullivan hat-trick to 1 back in 2003.

If the game is tied at the end of 90 minutes, a replay will take place at the RSC the following Tuesday night (29th) at 7.45pm, with 30 minutes extra time and penalties to decide the tie if required.

For anyone driving to the game, directions are as follows: Travel towards Cork City as usual, and cross to the south side of the river Lee via the Jack Lynch tunnel, heading out towards the Airport. Proceed along the Kinsale Road (Airport hill) until you get to the roundabout at the entrance to Cork Airport. Go fully around this roundabout to turn back towards the city, and immediately after the roundabout take the first side road to the left. Take the next left and follow the road (very narrow) for about half a mile and you will find Everton Park on your left.
