Waterford United see out their last fixture of the 2009 season when they travel to the Belfield Bowl on Saturday night to take on champions-elect UCD (KO 7.45pm).
 
As a promising year comes to a disappointing end, the Blues find themselves confirmed in fourth place, with neither hope of improvement nor fear of being caught, but they will be keen to end the season on a high note, to put one over on the worthy league winners on their own patch, and to set as high a marker as they can so they can aim to better it next year.
 
The spoils have been shared between the sides so far this campaign, with one away victory apiece and a 0-0 draw at the RSC back in May, and with the pressure off both sides, and the Students desirous of being crowned champions on the back of a home win, it promises to be an excellent game of football.
 
Manager Stephen Henderson, who recently re-signed as Blues boss for the 2010 season, and is already at work building his squad for next year, will have plenty of attacking options available as he welcomes back Graham Cummins and David Grincell from suspension. Other than long-term absentee Paul McCarthy, there are no injuries to report.
