Media reports over the last number of days have speculated on the proposed investment in a number of eircom league clubs by a Mr. Giovanni Di Stefano. In the course of these reports, it has been suggested that Waterford United has been in discussions with Mr. Di Stefano. Waterford United would like to place on the record that no member of its board or management committee has ever met with, nor had any discussions with a Mr. Di Stefano or any of his representatives.
